By Buba Gagigo
The darling Scorpions will play their first WAFU match against the host nation, Senegal, at 2pm local time today.
After today’s game, the boys will face Mauritania in their second, and final group A match of the competition on Sunday at 5pm, respectively.
The U-17 left The Gambia to Senegal on Wednesday for the WAFU tournament, and had their first training session on Thursday afternoon.
WAFU is an association of the football playing nations in West Africa. It was the brainchild of the Senegal Football Federation who requested that the nations belonging to CAF’s Zone A and B meet and hold a regular competitive tournament.
