At a press conference held at the UDP’s Manjai Bureau, Binta Senghore, President of the United Democracy Female Youth Wing, announced that the youth will take to the streets in protest if President Barrow does not issue an apology by Friday.
“Now we want to put an end to this, and we demand an apology, if Barrow doesn’t give an apology before the end of Friday we will come out in the streets to demonstrate, we will go out to fight for this country, we are ready as the young people of this country not only UDP but young people of this country. We believe all political parties in this country will join us to end this injustice that is happening to the United Democratic Party,” she said.
She also urged President Barrow to address the UDP youth wing directly.
“We are calling on President Barrow to come face the United Democratic Party youth wing to give us a statement that includes an answer to the question we are asking for. We are not here to joke, we have taken enough from him, if our youth are dying what is stopping Barrow to talk about that? What is stopping Barrow from putting an end to the use of drugs?” She asked.
