The State of the Emirates earlier today announced the passing of its leader, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness Al Nahyan passed away today (Friday, May 13, 2022), according to Abu Dhabi government media office report.
“The Ministry of Presidential Affairs mourns to the people of the State of the Emirates, the Arab and Islamic nations and the world, the leader of the country and the patron of his career, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, who passed away to the neighbor of his Lord today, Friday, May 13.
“The Ministry of Presidential Affairs announces the official mourning and the mass mourning of the deceased His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan “May Allah have mercy on him” for 40 days starting today and the suspension of work in the ministries, departments, federal, local institutions and the private sector for 3 days starting from the Day.
“The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has declared a period of 40 days’ official mourning for UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan from today. Work in ministries, departments, federal and local government entities, and the private sector, will be suspended for three days, starting from today,” Abu Dhabi Government Media Office announced.
