Trust Bank presented a cheque for ten thousand Dollars to SOS Children’s Village at Bakoteh. The gesture was for the maintenance of one of the family houses in the village, with equal adoption of the said house by the Bank.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Managing Director of Trust Bank, Njilan Senghore, said orphans often yearn to find that family to call their own. She added by saying that the sponsorship deal that Trust Bank presents will have a positive impact on the lives of many orphans.
The decision to adopt a house in this village was a very easy one because of the evidence we see with our own eyes, we show happy, loved, well-adjusted children living in a family setup. That should be a source of envy for even people that are living within their own families. We know that a safe and secure home is essential for the physical, emotional, and mental health of every child, and trust Bank could not be prouder to be associated with this initiative,” she Said
Mrs. Senghore further states that Trust Bank Donates a lot, especially to humanitarian, medical, sports and education
“If you know Trust Bank, you know we are very big in the area of CSR. We donate a lot, especially to Humanitarian courses, we donate a lot to Health, Education, but this is my baby. While many of us grew up in loving homes, orphans often yearn to find that Family to call their own. It’s our belief that this sponsorship deal we are presenting here today will have a far-reaching positive consequence in the lives of many orphans,” She Added.
Jean Pierre Kouamin, The National Director of SOS Children Villages in The Gambia, Thanked Trust Bank for the gesture.
“You are no longer doing just banking, but you’re really doing humanitarian work. Putting your hand together and making this happen in the country. I am very happy because I have been here for one year and five months and this is the first time, I have had the chance to have such a partnership, he said.
