The Gambia Police Force has said that the possibility of additional arrests cannot be ruled out, as further revelations may come to light during the investigation. They attribute this to standard procedure in any investigation.
“The Inspector General of The Gambia Police Force, Abdoulie Sanyang remains steadfast in his call for unity and cooperation from the public, which has been demonstrated during this challenging period for both the police force and, by extension, the public. This includes those who have volunteered information crucial to the successful apprehension of the suspect(s). While investigations are ongoing and further revelations may lead to additional arrests, it is important to understand that these procedures are standard in any investigation. The public can be rest assured that these measures are necessary to uphold the principles of justice,” the police say.
The police say the IGP is fully committed to utilizing all available resources within the force to ensure that justice is not only pursued but also served.
