The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly wishes to inform the public that the Third Ordinary Session of the National Assembly in the 2022 Legislative Year shall be convened for the period Monday 12th – Friday 30th September, 2022.
During this period, Hon. Members will consider Bills, Questions to Hon. Ministers for Oral Answers, Reports of various Committeees and Parliamentary delegations, and other important Government and National Assembly businesses.
His Excellency, the President of the Republic will also in accordance with Section 77 (1) of the 1997 Constitution, and Order 24 (1) of the Standing Orders of the National Assembly perfom the State of Nation Address (SoNA) on Thursday 15th September, 2022.
Daily Sittings commence at 10:00am prompt.
All those who wish to attend the daily sittings are requested to obtain admittance card from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate.
The entrance to the SoNA shall be strictly by invitation.
The public is reminded to comply with the standard dress code (traditional/suit) required and also to observe the silence rule during proceedings of the Session.
