The last hospitalized Faraba victim airlifted to Dakar
Bubacarr Darboe was reportedly shot at his thigh breaking his bone
The last victim of the Faraba standoff between police and natives has been evacuated to Dakar from Edward Francis Small Hospital.
The spokesperson of the country’s main referral hospital, Momodou Lamin Jammeh, told Kerr Fatou on Tuesday that Bubacarr Darboe has been airlifted to Dakar on Monday.
Darboe was reportedly shot at his thigh breaking his bone. Jammeh said his condition was stable and that they would only need to “screw his bone”.
Darboe was the last victim of the Faraba incident that resulted to the death of 3 protesters at the EFSTH.
Meanwhile, this information contradicts that of the story of the director of press at the State House, Amie Bojang, who told journalists last week that no victim of Faraba incident require oversee treatment.
Since the incident, Gambia government has started a commission to look into it and President Adama Barrow has pledged Government will take care of the medical bill of all the victims.
Currently, all the victims of the incident are released from hospital except Darboe.
