Shaikna Chinedu, British National Killed

Commissioner Botto Keita, the Regional Crime Officer for the West Coast Region, has disclosed that the suspect apprehended in connection with the murder of British National Shaikna Chinedu admitted to using a hammer in the commission of the crime.
“According to the suspect, he confessed to the police that he used a hammer. Based on his own confession, he hid the deceased with this hammer at the back of her neck and then the suspect collapsed. Then, after the collapse of the deceased, he dragged her from the point of the incident to a soakaway that was under construction. That’s where he dragged the deceased and put him there and then used a spade and buried the deceased using the spade,” Commissioner Botto Keita said.
Additionally, the commissioner disclosed that following the murder, the suspect also pilfered items from the victim, including two mobile phones, assorted gadgets, and a laptop retrieved from her bag.
“He left the deceased at the scene, locked the compound gate, and went away. It was after that he used the keys that were also found in the bag and went back to the house of the deceased, where he opened and took some cash and the other two laptops. During the course of the investigation also, he was found with a pistol. The pistol is still under investigation so that we will be able to determine how he got it in possession,” he said.
Shaikna’s lifeless body was discovered on February 16, 2024, in an incomplete compound, surrounded by enigmatic circumstances.
