Seven People Arrested In Connection To Suspected Drug Seizures

DLEAG said 36 years old Foday Fatty, 20 years old Sainey Badjie and 25 years old Lamin Badjie residents of Lamin and Brikama were arrested on board a commercial vehicle with registration number BJL 4452B at Bullock checkpoint on the 30th of January 2023 around 10:00hrs with quantities of suspected cannabis sativa and three stones of suspected cannabis resin (hashish). They said the latter was concealed in a transparent nylon bag, while the cannabis sativa was stored in a bucket.

The Law Enforcement Agency also revealed that 30-year-old Lamin Drammeh, a resident of Babylon Village was arrested on the 30th of January at around 21:00hrs onwards with seventy-four wraps of suspected cannabis sativa concealed in white paper wrapped in a nylon bag and placed inside a camouflage bag.

“25 years old Nyalling Ginda a resident of Basse was arrested on the 31st of January 2023 at around 12:00hrs onwards with nineteen wraps of suspected cannabis sativa which is concealed in a multicolor nylon bag in a tailoring workshop. 23-year-old Bubacarr Jaiteh, a resident of Sukuta Nema was arrested on the 1st of February at around 10:30hrs onwards with four parcels and seventy-four wraps of suspected cannabis sativa which is concealed in white paper and placed inside a transparent nylon bag,” DLEAG said on Friday.

Also, among the seven arrested is 25 years old Ebrima Touray a resident of Jabang who they said was arrested on the 2nd of February at around 23:30hrs onwards with six parcels of suspected cannabis sativa which was concealed in white paper and placed inside a multicolor nylon bag

The Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) said all the suspects are currently in custody while further investigations continue.
