Cherno Siranding Sabally, the sacked Alkalo of Kassa Kunda is yet to surrender the Alkalo’s stamp to the Chief of Kombo Central District, despite his sacking letter requested so.

“But since I received the letter from the Governor’s office that I am sacked, I didn’t use the stamp on any document yet, but it’s with me as we speak,” he told this medium on Sunday, but expressed willingness to return it if the authorities insist.

“The only reason they are saying that is that I am blind. Yes, I am blind. That is true, but that is from God, our creator, which I thank Him (God) for. But apart from that, all what they are saying are allegations because I never sold any land that belongs to someone,” he added

The former Kassa Kunda Alkalo was informed of his dismissal in a letter dated 16th August 2022; requesting him to immediately surrender his stamp and all other official documents to the Chief of Kombo Central District, a request he is yet to grant.

Prior to the publication of his sacking letter, residents of Kassa Kunda heard the news and converged at the Governor’s office demanding the revocation of the dismissal and accused former Junta Vice Chairman, Sanna Sabally and his brother, Sainey Sabally of ‘conspiring’ with Governor Bojang to dismiss Cherno.
