“Proudly Gambian”, Trust Bank Commemorates Silver Jubilee

Trust Bank Gambia Limited commemorating  25 years of existence on 30th September 2022

Trust Bank Gambia Limited (TBL) that goes by the slogan “proudly Gambian” Friday celebrated 25 years of existence in the country.

The bank’s Silver Jubilee was graced by its staff, customers, and well wishers in a colourful march past from the Arch 22 to its headquarters in Banjul.

Addressing the crowd, Mrs. Njilan Senghore, Managing Director of Trust Bank assured their customers of a quality banking service delivery system.

“We would continue to serve your interest. We would continue our good service to Gambians, because we have a good brand name, and we would continue to build the brand name for Trust Bank,” she said.

Mr. Omar Mbowe, Deputy Managing Director, said their intention is to be one of the best banks in the world, saying  they are already the best in the country.

“We are doing something that no bank is doing in The Gambia. So we will continue to do our best to be among the best banks in the world,” Mr. Mbowe said.

Trust Bank (Gambia) Limited, commonly known as Trust Bank Limited, is a private commercial bank in the small West African country.

It is one of the commercial banks licensed by the Central Bank of the Gambia, the national banking regulator.

The bank was founded in 1997 by private investors, with the objective of offering banking services to local and International individuals and businesses in a timely, professional, courteous manner, and in a profitable framework.

At its inception, Trust Bank acquired the assets and liabilities of the defunct Meridian Bank (Gambia).

In 2002, the shares of stock of Trust Bank Gambia Limited were listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GHA), where they trade under the symbol.

The 25-year-old bank is currently one of the largest commercial banks in The Gambia, both by asset size and by branch network.
