The Office of the President has rescheduled the Presidential Press Conference regarding the forthcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit due to President Barrow’s insufficient readiness for anticipated questions.
Initially set for today, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the State House of The Gambia, the Press Conference will now convene on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
Addressing the gathered media representatives, Amie Bojang, the Director of Press at the Office of the President, explained that the President had received the questions from various media outlets too late to adequately prepare responses.
“As you can see, the President was occupied with the Publisher’s Association and did not have enough time to review the questions and prepare for the press conference. We are apologizing for that, we have to postpone the press conference until Monday at 3:00 pm,” she informed the Journalists.
