President Adama Barrow would tell the Parliament on 9th September 2021, the condition and administration of The Gambia as well as the policies of his Government.
Section 77 (1) of the 1997 Constitution empowers the President to at least once in each year, attend a sitting of the National assembly and address the session on the condition of The Gambia, the policies of the Government and the administration of the State.
The famous event also referred to as the state of the nation address, would commence at 10:00 am at the National Assembly complex in Banjul strictly by invitation, according to the National Assembly announcement of the commencement of its third ordinary session in the 2021 Legislative Year scheduled for the period 6th – 30th September 2021.
The announcement added that all those invited to grace the event are requested to be seated 08:30am latest; and the public is reminded to comply with the prevailing COVID-19 protocols, the standard dress code (traditional/lounge suit) and observe the silence rule during the proceedings.
