President Barrow Must Be Told That He Is Going Out Of The Constitutional Requirements Of The Tour
President Adama Barrow and Activist Madi Jobarteh

The tour is about his policies and to understand the conditions of the people. Therefore he should have been telling citizens how his Government would work with KMC and all regional governments to address their living conditions.
He should have told them how his Government is contributing to alleviating these terrible conditions. The terrible infrastructure and poor public services in our towns and villages are not squarely the problem of the local councils alone. After all, lot of the powers, functions and resources in the Local Government Act that the central government should transfer to the local government have not been done by the central government. Hence the problems in Talinding, Ebo Town and everywhere are also the problem of the Government.
Thus it is a violation of the Constitution in regard to the tour for the President to ignore his Government’s obligations but to canvass for NPP votes. It is even more despicable that the president is instigating citizens against their mayor.
The irony of it all is that while he calls on people to hold the mayor accountable, the president himself doesn’t like to be held accountable. Those who attempt to hold him accountable by criticizing him get arrested by the IGP on his orders.
Once again the President must be advised and guided to act within the limits of the Constitution.
