President Barrow attends OIC summit in Saudi Arabia
President Adama Barrow will travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the 14th Session of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
According to a statement from the presidency, Barrow will be accompanied by a high ranking delegation to Saudi.
The Gambian leader leaves Banjul International Airport Thursday May 30, in the morning.
The Gambia should have been the host country for the 2019 OIC summit but the country gave its hosting rights to Saudi.
The authorities said the country could not host the summit because of inadequate preparation and limited time and resources.
