The Gambia Police Force has launched an investigation into the suspected murder of Nyakasi Jawneh, a resident of Wellingara, who was found lifeless in her bed.
According to a statement from the police, the incident was reported on January 31, 2025. Following the discovery, law enforcement officers, including forensic experts, were dispatched to the scene to collect evidence and assess the circumstances surrounding her death.
“The police are investigating an alleged murder in Wellingara involving Nyakassi Jawneh, an adult resident who was found motionless in her bed. The incident was reported on January 31, 2025,
“A team of investigators and forensic officers visited the scene to gather evidence surrounding the circumstances of the alleged murder,” The Police Said.
The police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist in their ongoing investigation.
