Police Investigate Cattle Rustling Incident: Three Arrested, Three Still Wanted

The Gambia Police Force has initiated an investigation into a cattle rustling case, resulting in the arrest of three individuals, while three others remain at large.

According to the Brusubi Police, the investigation centers around a bull stolen from New Yundum on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Those arrested include Alieu Bah from Wulinkamma, Muhammed Sey (Buya) from Brusubi, and Ebrima Sey from Brusubi. Three additional suspects are still being pursued.

“The Brusubi Police are currently investigating a case of cattle rustling involving a bull stolen from New Yundum on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the theft: Alieu Bah of Wulinkamma, Muhammed Sey (Buya) of Brusubi, and Ebrima Sey of Brusubi. Three additional suspects remain at large,” the police said.

The police revealed that the investigation was prompted by reports from the National Livestock Owners Association (Cattle Farmers), which is actively supporting the inquiry. The arrested suspects are expected to face charges and be presented in court once the investigation concludes.
