Police Arrest Two For Allegedly Breaking In And Stealing From A Brusubi Home

The Gambia Police Force has confirmed the arrest of two individuals on suspicion of breaking into a residence in Brusubi and stealing mobile phones.
“The Gambia Police Force, on Friday 7th July 2023, nabbed two persons allegedly involved in a break-in and stealing at a residence in Brusubi. The two suspects have been arrested after being accused of forcefully entering a residential property and making away with valuable items, including different types of iPhones and Samsung phones. The case was reported to the Brusubi Police Station,” the police say.
After a thorough investigation into the matter, the police were able to trace the phones.
“A phone call from one of the suspects who feigned to be a police officer to his victims with the intent of obtaining passcodes for the stolen phones. He was apprehended at the Serrekunda Black Market, where he confessed to his deception,” they said.
The police arrested the main suspect after the first suspect provided information that led them to the main suspect’s location. The main suspect was found in possession of the stolen phones.
