POLICE ARREST ELEVEN BOYS FOR STUNT DRIVING IN BANJUL
DATE: June 21, 2024
The Police Intervention Unit in Banjul arrested eleven (11) boys for stunt driving, commonly referred to as ‘joyriding,’ near the Arch of Banjul on Independence Drive on the evening of Friday, June 21, 2024.
Most of these boys are underage and do not possess valid driving licenses. They engage in vehicle maneuvers that posed dangers both to themselves and the public.
The public, particularly parents and vehicle owners, are reminded not to allow children or unlicensed drivers to use their vehicles in public spaces. Ensuring that vehicles are only used by those who are legally and responsibly able to do so is crucial for everyone’s safety.
