Nyang Asks New Parliamentarians To Reject Nomination Of Fabakay, Seedy Njie

Gambia Participates Executive Director Marr Nyang has asked the newly elected Parliamentarians to reject Fabakay Tombong Jatta and Seedy Njie when voting tomorrow.
He argued that Jatta and Njieled to the 2016 political impasse that endangered the lives of Gambian citizens.
“Members of Parliament, reject the nomination of Fabakary Tombong Jatta and Seedy Njie! Tomorrow is a big opportunity for the new and re-elected NAMs to manifest whether they are loyal to the President or the very people that put them in power, a couple of days ago. It is simple; reject the nomination of FTJ and Seedy Njie! They fired up the 2016 political impasse and put the lives of your citizens in danger,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday
President Adama Barrow has nominated Fabakay Tombong Jatta as Speaker, and Seedy Njie as Deputy Speaker for the 6th Legislature following the just concluded National Assembly election. However, they first have to be accepted by the National Assembly Members through voting tomorrow after their inauguration slated for 10am at the new National Assembly building in Banjul.
