Saihou Mballow, Special Adviser to the president on political affairs, said that the National People’s Party (NPP) is not going to kowtow to Musa Yali Batchilly and his Gambia Action Party (GAP) because the NPP is bigger than both.
“Musa Yali Batchilly is a single person out of the party leaders that joined the NPP alliance. Gambia is bigger than Batchilly and his party, and NPP is bigger than Musa Yali Batchilly and his party, that is the most important angle that Gambians should look at. NPP is the biggest party in this country and also the winner of the 2021 Presidential election therefore we cannot be distracted by anybody.
” the president always makes sure that genuine democracy and respect for the fundamental human rights of every citizen is intact otherwise if anybody is disgruntled and you are baselessly accusing the president and his government on issues that are not happening we cannot stop that, I know that the president is doing what he is supposed to do,” he said
