NPP Candidate For Busumbala Constituency Challenges Colleagues To Debate
By Buba Gagigo
The National People’s Party (NPP) candidate for Busumbala Constituency, Saikouba Jarju has challenged independent candidates Jarrinding Sanyang and Muhammad Kanteh to debate ahead of the 9th April parliamentary election.
“I know all the problems of Lamin (village) than you (Jarrinding Sanyang and Muhammad Kanteh). If you deny me, go to YouTube, I spoke about Lamin during the last session of the National Assembly. I told them that erosion has divided Lamin. They cannot reach each other. I am telling you to give me power to go back to the parliament to complete what Adama Barrow and I started in Lamin village. We are the only people who can do it. There should be a road to Lamin lodge, but I’m telling you, we want to revive the Lodge to a standard lodge.
“I am also talking to people in Lamin who want a Standard Library in Lamin. Muhammed Kanteh cannot say anything in Parliament because his tongue is not even clear. For Jarrinding, he did not stand firm against me. But I am challenging them for a debate to show the world that I am not their march in the parliament. If Jarrinding Sanyang believes in himself, let’s go for parliamentary debate and if Muhammad Kanteh believes in himself, let’s go for a parliamentary debate. I am not their march and I am the only competent candidate contesting for Busumbala constituency,” he said during his campaign in Lamin on Friday evening.
Saikouba Jarju is re-seeking election in the upcoming parliamentary election under the National People’s Party (NPP) ticket, while Jarrinding Sanyang and Muhammad Kanteh are independent candidates in the Busumbala constituency.
