The National Assembly will convene for its fourth ordinary session (Budget Session) on Monday, November 13, 2023, and continue until Friday, December 22, 2023, according to a press statement from the Office of the Clerk.
The statement outlines that during this session, Members of Parliament will consider the government’s revenue and expenditure estimates for the fiscal year 2024, as well as other business such as oral questions to ministers, reports from various committees and parliamentary delegations, and motions and bills.
“During this period, Hon. Members will consider the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure of the Government of The Gambia for the fiscal year 2024 and other businesses such as Questions to Hon. Ministers for Oral Answers, Reports of various Committees and Parliamentary delegations, Motions and Bills,” the statement explained.
Furthermore, the statement advises anyone who wishes to attend the daily sittings must obtain an admittance card from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate.
The Office of the Clerk also reminds the public to comply with the required dress code (traditional/suit) and to observe the silence rule during proceedings of the Session.
