The Ministry of Information has announced the retirement of Mrs. Salimatta E.T. Touray, Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service. Chief of Staff Mod K. Ceesay has been appointed to oversee the position in the interim.
“The Ministry of Information hereby informs the public that Mrs. Salimatta E.T. Touray, Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, proceeded on statutory retirement effectiveFriday, 11th October 2024. In the interim, Mr. Mod K. Ceesay, Chief of Staff, will assume the responsibilities of the position until the appointment of a successor,” the Information Ministry stated.
H.E. President Barrow extended his heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Salimatta Touray for her exemplary leadership and service. .
“He also expressed profound gratitude for her invaluable contributions to the nation throughout her distinguished career and wished her well in her future endeavors,” the statement concluded.
