The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) has tasked the University of The Gambia (UTG)’s management to submit a comprehensive report to the UTG Governing Council for review and necessary action. This comes in the wake of a grade-related scandal at the university.
“As a Ministry, we have tasked the UTG Management to present a comprehensive report to the Governing Council of the UTG for consideration and necessary action,” the ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) went on to assure the general public that it will continue to protect the integrity and sanctity of the University of The Gambia (UTG) for the interest of the common good. It also appeals to the general public, especially the university community, to exercise patience until the UTG Governing Council presents its verdict.
“The UTG is a national asset, and its image and reputation must be cherished at all times,” they concluded.
