Ministry Of Health Confirms One New AKI Death And 39 Suspected Cases

The Ministry of Health has confirmed one new Acute kidney injury (AKI) death and thirty-nine suspected cases of AKI in the Gambia.
The Case Statistics of their new Situation report indicate: New Case 1, 39 Suspect, 6 Probable, Confirmed Cases 83 (CFR=85%), and 12 Discharged.
Furthermore, the health ministry’s statistics indicate that the victims are between the Age of <1 to 7, and the gender spread according to the ministry of health is 50 males and 33 females are affected.
With the new case, the total number of AKI Deaths now stands at 71 in The Gambia.
