MC Cham Jr Says NPP Dominated Parliament Means ‘Gambia Is Finished’
By Buba Gagigo
Modou I. Cham (MC Cham Jr) The National Youth President of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) who doubles as the party’s candidate for the Jeshwang constituency said NPP dominated parliament means Gambia is ‘finished’.
“The parliamentary election is the last chance for the Gambia. If President Barrow gets more Members that means, Gambia is finished. They are saying they will increase the salary, but you increase salary and food commodities are very expensive and the rent is expensive. This means the salary increment has no use. The food commodities are expensive in The Gambia because a lot of the businesspersons are sponsoring NPP. Now is the time to pay back the money that they (businesspersons) spent on NPP. It is the money they get back from the poor Gambians,” he told the people of Jeshwang at a rally on Tuesday.
MC Cham Jr is contesting in Jeshwang Constituency under the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) ticket with Sheriff S. Sarr of APRC, and Buba Jadama of UDP.
