Manjang rejects Barrow’s Senegalo-Gambia job offer

Muhammadou Manjang has rejected President Barrow’s job offer at the Senegalo-Gambia Permanent Secretariat few days after being removed from his position as the Managing Director of Social Security Housing Cooperation (SSHFC).
In a turndown latter sent to Secretary General on Monday, Manjang revealed that he cannot take up the new offer at this, noting that his training, professional experience ans skillset is in finance, management and control of financial institutions.
“Therefore, will not be doing justice to the government or myself in taking up a role that requires diplomacy and or expertise in foreign affairs,” Manjang revealed in the latter.
Meanwhile Manjang was part of those major changing in both the Parastatals and Civil Service made by the Gambian leader last week as he was replaced by Abdoulie Tambadou at the Managerial position of the SSHFC.
“I am grateful for the confidence and the government and more specifically, the President, has placed in affording me the opportunity to head the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation from 7th March 2017 up to date,” Manjang further stated.
