Mai Ahmed Fatty has denied selling a plot of land to one Haji Jaiteh as claimed in a purported Power of Attorney on social media on Sunday.
“There has never been any land transaction between me, Mai Ahmad Fatty, and Haji Jaiteh
“Haji Jaiteh did not pay any money to me.
“I did not sell any property to Haji Jaiteh,” Mai Ahmed Fatty wrote on Facebook page.
Fatty encouraged Haji to use a proper forum for legal disputes; instead of the media.
“If he claims to have a case, the media is not a court of law. There is a proper Forum for legal disputes where controversies are determined and enforceable. There are those who will stop at nothing in their attempt to destroy others. This malicious misrepresentation is politically motivated to distract us. It has failed,” he added.
In a purported Power of Attorney widely circulated on social media on Sunday, one Haji Jaiteh, a resident of Busumbala claimed that the GMC leader took D345, 000 from him as the cost of a plot of land, which he [Haji] claimed belongs to another person.
