The Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) has announced the introduction of GTRs to facilitate easier and more convenient payment of both commercial and residential rates.
“The Kanifing Municipal Council wishes to inform the general public that henceforth, Council Rates Collectors will be issued with GTRs to help facilitate easy and convenient payment of both commercial and residential rates,” KMC said.
The release stated that property owners who cannot visit the council offices can now make payments to their assigned rate collectors, who will carry Staff Identification Cards with the KMC institutional logo.
“Furthermore, the council wishes to notify property owners who are yet to settle their liabilities to immediately do so as the council will be embarking on a massive revenue mobilization exercise, and the cooperation of the general public is highly solicited,” KMC said.
