The Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) said it has deployed 300 personnel with equipment to help flood victims within the Kanifing Municipality.
“KMC deploys 300 personnel including Municipal Police, Service Staff with the support of PIU, Gambia Fire and Rescue, Gambia Armed Forces to several communities with food items, pumping machines etc to support flood victims,” KMC said in a statement on Facebook.
In late July 2022, heavy rainfall caused floods in many parts of the Gambia that left thousands of people displaced including residents of Kanifing Municipality.
