The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has accepted the nomination of the 4 National Unity Party candidates.
“It is with utmost honor that we write to inform all and sundry that the nomination of our Four (4) NUP Candidates to contest in the forthcoming National Assembly Elections is been ACCEPTED by the IEC.
“After a rigorous scrutiny, we are confident and optimistic that their respective candidature shall not only pass the test of time but that Gambians will vote for them in strengthening our collective quest to ensuring a well-represented National Assembly that shall ensure a governance system that reflects our reality,” the NUP statement said on Sunday.
Hon. Chenna Bah for Jokadu Constituency; Proff. Yerro Mballow for Upper Fulladu West Constituency; Hon. Ousman D. Jallow for Niamina West Constituency; and Hon. Modou Njie for Old Yundum Constituency are the four sponsored NUP candidates for the 9th April parliamentary election.
