The Independent Electoral Commission [IEC] has announced that it will conduct the long-awaited voter registration exercise from 29th May to July 11th 2021.
The exercise will run from 8am to 5pm daily during the period, according to a release by IEC.
It added that applicants of the voters’ card must present either a birth certificate, national ID card, national passport or a document certified by the District Seyfo [Chief] or an Alkalo [head] of the village of the birth of the applicant, stating the applicant was born in the district or village.
“All claimants must have or will have attained the age of eighteen years by the 4th December 2021; and must not be disqualified or disentitled from being registered or voting under any law,” the commission stated in a dispatch.
