IEC Announces Dates For Voter Cards Replacement, Increases Price To D200

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has announced that it will commence voter’s card replacements from 31 March 2023 to 7th April 2023 for lost, mutilated and damaged voter’s cards at a fee of D200 per replacement.
“I write to inform you that the Independent Electoral Commission shall conduct replacement of voters’ cards from 31 March 2023 to 7th April 2023 for lost, mutilated and damaged voter’s cards at a fee of D200 per replacement,” IEC announced.
The electoral commission said the replacement of voter’s cards shall be conducted at the Election House and IEC Regional Offices in Banjul, Kanifing, Brikama, Kerewan, Mansakonko, Janjanbureh and Basse.
“No new voter’s card will be issued but only lost, mutilated and damaged voter’s cards that were acquired during the 2021 general voter registration shall be replaced during this period upon request,” they concluded.
