H.E Bakary Bunja DABO, Party Leader Gambia For All
The GAMBIA FOR ALL (GFA) party is shocked, horrified, and extremely concerned at the news, from several authoritative sources, of the alleged shooting and killing of 2 national security officers, and the serious injury caused to a third officer.
The incident records an unprecedented, and incomprehensible act of aggression against our men and women in uniform; and coming at a time when Gambians are jubilating over our qualification for the AFCON 24, has sent shock waves through the length and breadth of the country.
We urge the authorities to do everything possible to apprehend anyone involved in this heinous act, and to swiftly bring them to justice. We also urge the authorities to enhance the capability of our security forces to be able to deal with the new security challenges that confront us, noting specifically, the menace of dangerous drug trafficking.
The Party leader and Secretary General Bakery Bunja Dabo, and the entire membership of GFA send heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, and indeed to the entire security services sector. We pray that Allah the Almighty grant the deceased Janatul Firdaus, and speedy recovery to the injured.
