The death of Alhagie Momodou Njie – BiriBiri is a sad and great lost to the Gambia. The Gambia Democratic Congress party under the leadership of Honourable Mamma Kandeh wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the people of the Gambia, his friends, family and the entire sport fraternity.
Momodou Njie will be mourned for eternity. BiriBiri’s hard work and relentless service to the country and sport earned him international recognition and fame. Biri carried the Gambian name to the world of fame and Gambians will continue to celebrate BiriBiri’s life due to his immense contribution to national development and to our sports.
The GDC mourns his demise and pray that Allah grant him the highest residence in Jannah, look after his family and ease the burden of his demise on his family, the Gambia and her people.
