The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) leader has promised to restore ‘lost’ hopes of Gambians when the party wins the December polls.

“Look at all these old men, women and youth that are here [referring to those at the rally]. They are not because Mama Kandeh is handsome; they are here because they lost all hopes. They are here to restore hope. If you don’t have hope, you cannot live. All Gambians’ hopes are lost. Gambians don’t have hope anymore. Will I give you hope? Will I give your children hope? Will I upgrade your lives? That’s the reason we are here.

“It’s not about the sweetness of GDC; it’s not the beauty of GDC. We did not give money to anyone here. None of them is my slave here. They just need someone to restore hope for them because they don’t have hope anymore. But I will tell you GDC will give you hope, help your children, GDC will help your grandchildren and GDC will change the country. And if God wishes, our lives will be upgraded,” Mama Kandeh told a crowd of GDC supporters at a rally in Guigi on Saturday.
