GDC issues statement on resignation of deputy party leader
Gambia Democratic Congress has issued a statement thanking its former deputy leader and seven others who have resigned from the party.
Below is the statement:
On behalf of the GDC party under the able leadership of Hon. Mamma Kandeh, I wish to thank the former depeuty party leader of GDC Mr. Yusupha Jaiteh and the seven others namely; Adama Manjang, National Campaign Manager; Lamin Demba, Assistant Logistics Manager and Chairman of GDC in Kombo South; Seedy Gassama, Regional Chairman Kanifing Municipality; Borry Manneh, Logistics Committee Member; Buba Jarju, Youth Mobiliser, Kombo South; Anthony Tabal, Committee Member for Environmental Matters and Amie Njie Colley, former parliamentary candidate for Tallinding, who have resigned from the GDC party.
Under the able leadership of Hon. kandeh, and on behalf of the entire GDC party, I thank them once again for their support and hard work in the party in the interest of the nation, since its inception.
However, I would like to clarify that the above mentioned members have resigned voluntarily. We wish them good luck in their endeavours.
