Gambia – Qatar strengthens bilateral cooperation in various areas as Foreign Minister delivers President Barrow’s Special Message to the Emir of Qatar
The Honourable Foreign Minister on Sunday 14 February delivered a Special Message from the President of Republic of The Gambia, H.E. President Adama Barrow to the Emir of the State of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. The Foreign Minister, Dr. Mamadou Tangara is in Qatar as a Special Envoy of H.E. Adama Barrow.
The Honourable Minister held diplomatic engagement with H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State Qatar. The two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation in health, road construction, capacity building for security forces amongst others. Views were also exchanged on regional and international issues.
Still with his diplomatic engagement, the Honourable Foreign Minister also met with the Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the State of Qatar, H.E. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri. Discussions between the two leaders centered on issues of mutual interest one of which involves strengthening legal cooperation between the two friendly countries.
