Gambia army gets new spokesperson
Lt Malick Sanyang has confirmed to Kerr Fatou his appointment today as the acting spokesperson of the Gambian army.
Lt Sanyang who was the army spokesperson from 2013 to 2015 replaced Major Lamin Sanyang who has taken over from Major Omar Bojang.
Major Sanyang told Kerr Fatou on Thursday morning that he is leaving for Nigeria on training.
Nigeria has been helping Gambia on technical cooperation in many areas including military training. Several Gambian army officials do their senior officer training in the West African power.
Before Sanyang took over the role as the PRO of the army, his predecessor Bojang also left for Nigeria last year on a senior officer course.
