Gambia Armed Forces Confirm Alleged Shooting Around Sukuta Traffic Light

The Gambian Armed Forces have confirmed reports of a shooting near Sukuta Traffic Light and said they have dispatched a patrol team to the scene.
The Armed Forces Public Relations Officer issued a statement to the press tonight acknowledging that the details of the incident are still unclear and pledged to provide updates to the public as more information becomes available.
“The Gambia Armed Forces just received information about an alleged shooting incident around Sukuta Traffic Light. Details are sketchy, but a patrol team has been sent to the general area from 1 Infantry Battalion, Yundum Barracks, to gather further information about what actually happened. The general public will be duly informed of any developments as the situation unfolds. Kindly share for the information of your respective audiences,” the army Director of Press and Public Relations said.
