The High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to The Gambia, Her Excellency Sharon Wardle and the Ambassador of the United States of America, Her Excellency C. Patricia Alsup, Wednesday July 11th, 2018 paid separate courtesy calls on Honourable Dr. Mamadou Tangara, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad to congratulate him on his appointment as Minister.
The Honourable Minister welcomed both top diplomats and assured them of his resolve and commitment to deepen ties of cooperation between The Gambia and their respective countries.
Meanwhile, Honourable Tangara also met with officials of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who were in his office to express IAEA’s readiness to welcome The Gambia as a member, in the hope that The Gambia will benefit enormously from its membership of the Agency.
IAEA is the world’s centre for cooperation in the nuclear field and seeks to promote the safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear technologies.
