First Lady of Gambia, Sierra Leone Conferred Honorary Degree

American International University conferred Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters on the First Lady of The Gambia and Sierra Leone.
Her Excellency Madam Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow and Fatima Maada Bioreceived the honorary degree at the 6th Convocation of the University at its campus in The Gambia at the graduation of 179 students.
The Board of Trustees of the American International University, West Africa conferred the degree on the Sierra Leonean and Gambian First Ladies at a local hotel in Kololi on Saturday.
The 2 First Ladies thanked the University for honouring them with the Degrees and asked the graduates to focus and make the school proud to be its great ambassadors.
The Chancellor of the University advised the graduates armed with knowledge and expertise to meet the challenges of the new coming era who are confident and proud collectively; adding that all of them are the future leaders of this great nation and they should move forward with pride and confidence to the world.
Dr. Makie Taal, Vice-Chancellor of the University said each member of the Class of 2022 had excelled in an exceptional and resilient way.
He added that all of them have fulfilled the requirements for graduation and are designated as professionals in their areas of concentration.
