Fight Against Covid-19: Regional Operations Officer Appeals To Public To Get Vaccinated
By Ramatoulie Jawo
The regional operations officer for Western 2 health region, Expanded Programme on Immunisation, has appealed to the public to take their jab of the COVID 19 vaccine.
“I appeal to the general public [including] anyone who is 18 and above, despite wherever you might be, everywhere in the country, anywhere you can access a health facility, let them come out in their numbers and take the coronavirus vaccine because the vaccines are safe and efficient and can safe life,” Mbayang Johm said. “Every vaccine you see, before they are taken to any country, must go through several clinical trials to make sure that when they give it to people, it will not cost them their lives.”
Mbayang also called on heads of institutions to encourage their staff to take the vaccine because the ministry of health cannot do it alone.
The regional operations officer for Western 2 health region made the plea recently at the Regional Health Directorate Officer in Brikama, in an interview with this medium; following a low vaccine coverage in the ongoing vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus pandemic.
