FaBB Foundation Awards University Scholarship To 10 Women

Her Excellency Madam Fatoumatta Bah Barrow, the First Lady of the Republic of The Gambia, has granted scholarships to ten (10) young women through her foundation, to enable them to pursue higher education at the University of The Gambia.
According to the foundation, the beneficiaries of this award were chosen from different regions of the country.
“Amongst them were also mothers as well. The First Lady’s mission is human capacity building in stem especially women to be agents for change and better development.
“The occasion was graced by Professor Pierre Gomez Minister of Higher Education Research Science & Technology, who thanked the First Lady and her foundation for contributing immensely towards the educational sector. He also encouraged the beneficiaries to do very well in their various courses thus motivating the foundation to support more students,” the foundation said through their Facebook page.
In 2017, Madam Barrow launched the Fatoumatta Bah Barrow Foundation, abbreviated as FaBB, with the goal of not only instigating positive change but also of aiding and enhancing the well-being of marginalized communities across The Gambia.
