EJ Investments clarifies ownership over land GT Board claims is within TDA
Ebrima Jeng, the proprietor of the EJ Investments, said his company has made D200 million worth of investment on its properties around the coastal area.
On Thursday, a property developer EJ Investments has told journalists that their land Gambia Tourism Board claims to be within the Tourism Development Area is not located within the 800 meters space from the sea specified in the laws.
The GB Board had dispute with the property developer earlier this week when the institution claims the land own by the estate agency is located within the TDA.
EJ Investments said its land in Tujereng is 1300 meters from the sea while its land in Sanyang is 1400 meters from the sea.
Thus, its land, part of which is already being sold to clients, is within the safe zone as far as the act is concern.
The estate agency held a press conference on Thursday where its lawyer Abdoulie Fatty and proprietor Ebrima Jeng dismissed the claims by the GT Board.
Jeng said the press release from the GT Board has the potential to severely affect their business as it could affect public confidence in them.
