ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians Elect Hon. Maimuna Ceesay As Secretary General
Honorable Maimuna Ceesay Nominate Member At The Gambia National Assembly

The ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians Association (ECOFEPA) has elected Hon. Maimuna Ceesay from The Gambia as the new Secretary General. This decision was made by the association’s newly formed Executive Committee.
ECOFEPA, which consists of women parliamentarians from the ECOWAS Community Parliament, is dedicated to promoting greater female participation in political decision-making processes.
With Speaker Sidie Mohamed Tunis at the helm, ECOFEPA has been granted a dedicated budget to advance various initiatives across its member nations.
Hon. Ceesay is set to collaborate with an influential leadership team, including President Veronica Sesay from Sierra Leone, 1st Vice President Senator Chantal Fanny Moussokour from the Ivory Coast, 2nd Vice President Senator Ireti Kingibe from Nigeria, and 3rd Vice President Isa Filomena Pereira Soares Da Costa from Cape Verde. They will be supported by Deputy Secretary General Blessing Onuh from Nigeria and Treasurer Konou Agbandao from Togo.
Upon her election, Hon. Ceesay expressed her gratitude and viewed her new position as a significant achievement for The Gambia. She vowed to meet the expectations set forth by the Association.
