The Hon. Minister of Health Dr. Ahmadou Lamin Samateh today Thursday 26th March 2020 visited the Public Health Emergency Operation Centre (PHEOC). The visit provided an opportunity for the Hon. Minister of Health to interact with the staff of the Directorate of Health Promotion and Education, Epidemiology and Disease Control Unit, Rapid Response Teams, Comtact tacing teams, risk communication team, case management team, logistic team and the multisectoral committee members of the command centre for public health emergencies.
The Minister interacted with the operators at the CALL CENTRE at the PHEOC to have first hand information on how data is collected and recorded from the callers on 1025. After the visit to the call centre he expressed satisfaction of the way and manner data is collected and managed. He thanked the Directorate of Health and Education and the Epidemiology and Disease Control Unit for establishing the call centre to facilitate communication on COVID-19 using the toll free number 1025.
