Dr Jaiteh Becomes First Gambian Interventional Cardiologist

Dr Lamin E.S Jaiteh has become the first Gambian Interventional Cardiologist, the Association of Resident Doctors, The Gambia, announced recently.
“We wish to congratulate Dr lamin E.S Jaiteh for becoming the 1st Gambian interventional Cardiologist.
“Congratulations sir and may this bring forth new grounds in health service delivery for our people and humanity at large,” the association announced on Facebook.
A cardiologist is a doctor who specializes in treating diseases of the cardiovascular system, mainly the heart and blood vessels. In order to become a cardiologist, a physician must attend four years of medical school and an additional six to eight years of internal medicine and specialized cardiology training, research states.
