The Secretary General and Party leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP) has said that an intelligence report he received has advised him of a potential plot against including himself, Momodou Sabally, Ebrima Dibba, Karafa Sonko, Honourable Sulayman Saho, and Honourable Yakumba Jaiteh.
The UDP leader added that the said report advised him and his mentioned colleagues to be very careful of the places they park their vehicles because a potential plot awaits them, although he did not mention the people behind the said potential plot.
“About three months ago I had an intelligence report or intelligence information that I should advise Momodou Sabally, Ebrima Dibba, Karafa Sonko, Honorable Saho, Yakumba Jaiteh and myself to be very careful where we park our vehicles. Even if we take our vehicles to carwash we must make sure somebody stays in the vehicle because the scheme now is, to plant incriminating materials on us,” Darboe says
Darboe stated that the plan plot is meant to disqualify him from running as UDP candidate in the 2021 polls and silence Sabally, Sonko, Dibba, Saho, and Yakumba.
The Secretary General and Party leader of the United Democratic Party UDP made these remark at his party’s Bureau in Manjai Kunda on Monday in reaction to the impounding of his party’s ypick-up by the police who alleged that the person driving the vehicle was found with suspected cannabis on 17thApril 2021.
The matter according to reports is being investigated.
